One Direction tag adventures
So after chatting with my friend back home in Australia and another friend in Scotland about some One Direction related things I decided to venture into the 1D-related tags and check out some blogs as well.
and OH.MY.GOD!
So while there were some great posts, hilarious jokes and some seriously AMAZING edits (seriously some of you guys are so talented!) there was also an alarming amount of hatred.
The common theme to all the angry and slightly psychotic posts seems to be “I hate management they are too controlling and ruining (insertbandmembernamehere)’s life.
I don’t understand how some of them have not realised that they are trying to do the EXACT SAME THING.
Sifting through some of these blogs that seem to be dedicated to saying nasty things about the bands girlfriends and ex-girlfriends I was actually shocked and a little disgusted. There was so much bullying and downright horrific behaviour from some of these girls. Calling women who have any sort of connection to the group “trashy” and “slutty”.
You can’t get angry at people who badmouth your favourite band then go on to say even worse things about the people they love!
Just because it’s on the internet and the person you’re saying it about won’t read it doesn’t mean its okay to be a terrible excuse for a person.
People trying to dictate each members sexuality, who they can be attracted to, who they should be friends with and what they should do with their body (mostly related to tattoos)
The most obvious examples are the “Larry is real and Eleanor is a horrible person” posts as well as the “Nick Grimshaw is pathetic and old and needs to stay away from Harry” ones. Newsflash! IT IS NOT UP TO YOU WHO THEY DATE! Harry is a grown up (unlike a lot of you) if he wants to be friends with people older than him that’s fine! (One of my best friends is fifteen years older than me!)
Also posts saying truly horrible things about someone that Liam (I think, not really clear on it) is friends with and saying he deserves to be killed.
Some people really need to chill and take a step back.
Don’t take things so seriously and understand that while you may be their ‘biggest fan’ you have absolutely ZERO right to judge them for the people they love (or don’t love as the case may be) You don’t know these people personally, you don’t know the ins and outs of their personal relationships so just leave them alone.
In conclusion, One Direction seem like lovely boys and they sing nice songs that I will sing along too but maaaaan some fans are way too hardcore about them
Calm the fuck down.
